Fall Appreciation
Still feels like fall outside. So let’s celebrate that with a falling leaf painting and echo that color in the ground and in a bicycle basket. It is always good to have three places to echo a color throughout a painting. What do you see first? The tree is dominant in size so it grabs the viewer first with the largest orange shape. The falling leaves connect us to the ground and then send the viewer‘s eye around the painting by having a light post stop the eye. At Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon class 2:00-4:00 PM MST, I want to improve this compostition by adding some sky to send the eye back to the tree. I think the tree shape can be improved too. This quick ten minute video will be available tomorrow on the video page of www.showcaseartcenter.com. Independent paint group will meet Tuesday and Wednesday mornings 10:00 to noon. Keep those brushes moving. More brush miles make better paintings!
