Butterfly Crown

I love a colorful flower. What could be better? A butterfly sipping nectar on top of the flower! I challenge you to identify the butterfly and the flower. I think I took the picture at the Butterfly Pavillion several years ago. I added more blooms to the flower to make the painting more abundant. It is a pretty involved design and will take you 1-2 hours to paint. The video is live and shows you the entire painting in 35 minutes; however, it uses sped-up film to finish in that time. Book you class for Tuesday on www.ShowcaseArtCenter.com to paint it live from 2-4 PM MST. Or just show up at the Showcase. Tuesday and Wednesday paint groups meet 10 to noon this week as well. Welcome spring! Let's celebrate spring beauty by painting this vibrating color of Quinacridone Magenta and Pyrrole Red floral.
